📲 Ieri è stata presentata la nuova gamma di iPhone. Semplicemente rinominati iPhone 14. Le due grosse novità sono state la sparizione, dopo due anni, di una versione Mini e la comparsa di una versione più grande per la versione base. La seconda arriva solo nelle versioni iPhone 14 Pro.

Bye bye notch, ecco che arriva Dynamic Island. Un bell’escamotage di design software per cercare di nascondere l’area della camera frontale e dei vari sensori e sfruttarla per un’interazione con l’utente abbastanza intelligente. Non ho paragoni con qualcosa di simile per Android, ma se ci fossero condivideteli pure.

Mi fa solo un po’ strano il voler giustificare con il potere forte del dollaro e l’inflazione il fatto che in U.S. i prezzi siano rimasti invariati perché il potere d’acquisto è più alto, mentre da noi in Europa, ad esempio, arriviamo anche ad aumenti che sfiorano i 500 a modello in alcuni casi.

Apple did, to be sure, raises prices around the world, but this is better explained by the fact the company runs on the dollar, which is the strongest in years; to put it another way, those foreign prices are derived from the U.S. price, and that price stayed the same, which means the price is lower.

🦘 Se penso al prossimo mese e mezzo ho i brividi. Sia per la mole di lavoro che mi sta stimolando tantissimo, sia per tutti i viaggi che mi (ci) attendono. Cercherò di condividerne qui i frutti piuttosto che altrove. Devo ancora raccontarvi della luna di miele in effetti, prima o poi arriverò a sistemare tutte le foto scattate e sarò pronto a farlo.
